Meet your Guides

As co-founders and twin sisters, our intention is to create a retreat that feels warm, welcoming, and beginner-friendly. We believe yoga should be accessible to everyone — not intimidating or exclusive. Our goal is to build a supportive community where people can slow down, connect, and grow gently, without pressure or expectation.

A shared path of yoga, healing, and exploration brought us here — to hold space for others to reconnect with themselves.

How It All Began -

We’re twin sisters from Australia who share a love for yoga, travel, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are.

Back in Australia, we both taught regular yoga classes and hosted retreats. We’ve always had a soft spot for beginners, and much of our teaching has focused on helping people feel welcome, supported, and confident starting their yoga journey.

Our path eventually brought us to the UK, where we settled along the beautiful coast of Cornwall. It was here that we met Jo, our mindset coach, whose work in breathwork and personal growth adds another meaningful layer to the retreat experience.

When we travelled to the Andaman Islands, we instantly felt how special the place was. Surrounded by nature, ocean and stillness, it felt like the perfect location to bring everything we love together.

That’s how Sat Nam Yoga Retreats was created — a warm, beginner-friendly retreat where you can slow down, reconnect, and return to your true self.

The name Sat Nam comes from the spiritual tradition of Sikhism and is also commonly used in Kundalini yoga, meaning “truth is my identity.”

For us, it reflects the heart of these retreats — creating a space where you can reconnect with yourself and leave feeling more grounded, calm, and aligned.

Limited to just 20 guests to keep the experience personal.

🌿 Tiffany —

Co-Founder & Yoga Teacher

My journey into yoga began from a young age, at 19 I bulged a disc and was later diagnosed with spondylolisthesis. What began as a way to manage physical pain slowly became something much deeper.

Through Yin Yoga and mindful movement, I experienced not just physical healing, but a reconnection to my body. Over time, it became the practice that keeps me pain-free and supported today.

Alongside that, I’ve moved through anxiety and seasons of feeling stuck in fight-or-flight mode. Yoga and mindfulness didn’t “fix” me — they gently taught me how to regulate my nervous system, soften, and feel safe in my body again.

That lived experience shapes the way I teach.

Life isn’t perfect. We all have emotional days and seasons of struggle — and I understand that personally.

The way I teach is grounding, simple and supportive — especially for beginners.

It’s not about perfect poses. It’s about helping you feel safe, steady and at home within yourself.

Because when we feel safe inside, everything begins to shift. 🤍

🌿 Melissa —

Co-Founder & Yoga Teacher

My journey into yoga and mindfulness began during a time when I felt overwhelmed by negative thoughts and disconnected from myself. Learning to gently observe my mind without judgment became the beginning of healing and creating a safe space within.

Inspired by teachers like Eckhart Tolle and Michael A. Singer I discovered that yoga and meditation are simple, loving practices we can return to each day. None of us are perfect — we are all growing and learning. These practices help us become kinder to ourselves and others, and guide us back to our authentic, peaceful nature.

As Co-Founder and Yoga Instructor of Sat Nam Retreats, I hold gentle spaces where you can reconnect to that calm, loving presence within.

🌿 Jo — Mindset Coach

Jo is a certified mindset coach and emotional release breathwork facilitator.

Her work centres on helping people become more aware of the thoughts and beliefs that shape how they see themselves — particularly during seasons of change, uncertainty, or personal growth.

Rather than pushing for dramatic transformation, Jo creates calm, grounded spaces where you can reflect gently, release what no longer feels aligned, and move forward with clarity — not pressure.

By blending thoughtful mindset coaching with guided breathwork, she supports a deeper sense of awareness, self-trust and emotional steadiness.

During the retreat, Jo will guide three small-group mindset coaching sessions, along with optional paired breathwork experiences — all designed to feel safe, supportive and beginner-friendly.

Her intention is simple: to hold space without judgment, so you can explore at your own pace and feel fully supported in the process. 🤍

“Perfect for Beginners”

“I joined the class because I wanted to do something for myself. I’m quite a nervous person and can easily feel intimidated, especially when a teacher stops the whole class to help me.

The way the girls teach is so much better suited for beginners. One keeps the class flowing while the other quietly offers support, so I never felt put on the spot. It made such a difference.

I absolutely loved yin — it became something I genuinely looked forward to every week.”

“I Didn’t Know How Much I Needed This”

“I did a weekend retreat with the girls in Heathcote. I’d never done yoga before — to be honest, my sister-in-law dragged me along! But wow… I’m so glad she did.

As a new mum, I didn’t realise how much I needed that time out. I loved the meditations, especially the silent walking one, and kundalini was such a surprise — my mind is always busy, and it really helped me switch off.

I’ve taken some of the practices home with me and even joined a yoga studio where I live now. So grateful I went — thank you girls!”

“Spot on-- Just what I needed”

“I was new to yoga and travelling on holiday when I found Tiffany and Melissa’s studio near my hotel, so I thought I’d give it a go and booked a private session. I’m really glad I did.

Since retiring from the ambulance service, I’ve realised how much yoga helps me slow down and properly relax. The 90-minute class with meditation, yin and yoga nidra was spot on — just what I needed.

I didn’t want to stop practicing just because I was away, so I really appreciated them fitting me in. We had a good chat about life too, which made it all feel easy and comfortable.

The girls are down to earth and easygoing. It was refreshing. I’d happily recommend them.”
